Company History In 2001, a leading Oil & Gas company began searching for an enterprise-wide solution for delivering data in a timely and concise manner. This application had to be able flexible enough to access all corporate datasets (including SDE), access all corporate applications (including ESRI ArcGIS), be user friendly enough for the infrequent user, and powerful enough for the advanced user. After months of searching with no success, they decided to custom develop an application and framework to meet these needs. Design and development on the application was completed in then 3rd quarter of 2003. Using the latest Microsoft technology (.NET), this application framework allowed interactivity between applications and data that was previously unavailable to the typical Oil & Gas company. HOC, as the application was called, eventually allowed them to retire a number of systems that had similar functionality. In 2004, realizing the commercial value of this software, Head-West Software Inc. was formed with the core of the development team to purchase the rights to this software. From this software, Head-West has developed a number of products that comprises a complete corporate solution. Head-West is a Microsoft Certified Partner, and an ESRI Authorized Business Partner. We have also aligned ourselves with many other organizations in less formal ways. Alex Hui
